So how many voters are going to change party affiliations and declare as independents? Anybody fed up with both major parties enough to vote differently?
And what exactly would be the platform of the people's party?I think we should start a "People's Party". Just a fresh start with none of the old stigma attached to it.
Taking the country back from bureaucrats, and putting it back in the peoples hands. And what exactly would be the platform of the people's party?
Uhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Brilliant. There are other parties out there right now. The Libertarian Party, the Constitution Party ... and the U.S. Tax Payer's Party. Check them out.

For a guy who said only yesterday that he was leaving the site, you're doing a whole lot of hanging around. Do you Democrats ever keep your word or tell the truth?Uhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Brilliant.
The Green Party isn't the answer to "balance" anything. The GP is just another socialist party disguising itself in environmental clothing. Have you read their materials? Here's their platform:Even if you don't like him, you have to admit those are not legit third parties yet.
Basically as it stands now most of the independent parties now are just ways to waste your vote.
And all Ron Paul is doing now is hurting the republican party (which w/e it doesn't matter anyway) by pulling away votes that would go to them. That is why it needs to be balanced on the other side with the Green party so that way one is not screwing the other without some balance.
I have a feeling that those folks out there that might go third party are on both sides of the aisle so to speak. A third party would pull votes from both of the other parties.I am just saying balance everything. The 2 party system would get hosed if it was just 3 with republican and libertarian splitting their votes leaving the majority for the dems. Look no further than Clinton's first election for how that works.
So, if we put one foot in a bucket of ice water, and the other foot in a bucket of boiling water, on "balance," we'll feel comfortable? Can you read my statement again. I am saying that a libertarian party would just screw the republican party. Having a left wing party would balance out the votes so that all 4 would be in a better balance. And Germany had a green party chancelor and they did not become a communist state.
Don't people look at the Libertarian party as a party of anarchy party? Does that mean as soon as Ron Paul got into office he was going to melt everything that was not attached to the constitution? No of course not. That is balance, he would be fought by the dems and reps. And jsut like if the green party (who mostly look to help out the entire society See bullet points here: http://www.gp.org/platform/2004/intro.html#998247).
Do they have it right? No of course not. They don't have enough good economics in the u.s. arm of the party to really be on point, but that doesn't mean that they don't have a lot of good they fight for. Just naive about how important the free market is.
