one more thing is that it has to be led... i cant use hps or something that draws a lot of electricityFor that sized space you’re going to need some HVAC to go along with the temps and humidity, any plans for that yet?

Filling your room with 100 watt fixtures for 100 plants just seems odd. You have a good budget, you can buy some good lights. How big a space you got to work with?one more thing is that it has to be led... i cant use hps or something that draws a lot of electricity
got some spaces to chose from but about 200-300sq feet got some smaller and bigger rooms toFilling your room with 100 watt fixtures for 100 plants just seems odd. You have a good budget, you can buy some good lights. How big a space you got to work with?
would fewer 600w lights be betterFilling your room with 100 watt fixtures for 100 plants just seems odd. You have a good budget, you can buy some good lights. How big a space you got to work with?
I would defiantly think so. I like HLG but there are many cheaper alternatives that work just as well. @bk78 deals with Meijiu lights, I believe, from Alibaba that do a great job and will save you a ton of money. I would be looking to go that direction if I wanted to light a large space like you do. I would think you could light that space with much fewer lights and buy a backup or 2 well below your budget. Perhaps BK could guide you a bit on that.would fewer 600w lights be better
Thanks for the help dude. my only problem is that i live in the eu so shipping and stuff would cost me a lot. one more question. https://marshydro.eu/collections/ts-series/products/ts-3000 these are the lights that im looking at now. 600w led. if one lights Coverage is 5 x 5 ft= 152cm x 152cm then why wouldent 8 of these be enough for a 20sq meter room??I would defiantly think so. That's a 450watt light. not 600. 5x5 would be for veg not flowering. You need around 800watts for flowering in a 5x5.Thanks for the help dude. my only problem is that i live in the eu so shipping and stuff would cost me a lot. one more question. https://marshydro.eu/collections/ts-series/products/ts-3000 these are the lights that im looking at now. 600w led. if one lights Coverage is 5 x 5 ft= 152cm x 152cm then why wouldent 8 of these be enough for a 20sq meter room??
ye but it says it replaces a 600whps while only consuming 450wThat's a 450watt light. not 600. 5x5 would be for veg not flowering. You need around 800watts for flowering in a 5x5.
ok il dig in to it. thanksLike Doug said HLG or something close is what id be looking at the Hydrotek co2 1000w would do awesome but at over 2000 each, too expensive for most.
Yeah but they say all sorts of shit. You are on a grow site, take the word of those who do, not those who sell. Don't get me wrong man, not trying to be mean or disrespectful, but those here who grow know better. Lighting companies make all sorts of claims. I am small scale and fairly new but there are many here who have much larger grows. Reading light company claims is like reading seed breeder claims about when plants finish.ye but it says it replaces a 600whps while only consuming 450w
no no bro, no bad feelings im just asking haha thats all.Yeah but they say all sorts of shit. You are on a grow site, take the word of those who do, not those who sell. All cool, just didn't want it to sound like I was being a dick is all. Nothing about you bud.no no bro, no bad feelings im just asking haha thats all.
lets say i use a smaller room but stil plant 100 plants do i need fewer lights then in a bigger room ?? first of how big of a room do i need for 100 ? what is the minimum spaceYeah but they say all sorts of shit. Your lights are dependent on your canopy square footage. The 100 plant thing confuses me. 100 plants can take up one space or 4 times that space, depends on what you do with them. I assume you are after a goal of a certain weight per harvest, would that be a fair assumption?lets say i use a smaller room but stil plant 100 plants do i need fewer lights then in a bigger room ?? first of how big of a room do i need for 100 ? what is the minimum space

I stand by my assessment of the situation.ye but it says it replaces a 600whps while only consuming 450w
Like @PJ Diaz said, 800 watts for a 5x5 canopy is 32 watts a square foot. That's a good aiming point. I am not experience with these large areas but I would assume you will need some kind of air conditioning no matter what.5 gal pots or 50gal pots? Most lights cover 1 sq meter. Spider type for example l find easier to cool as fan pushes air between light bars, dont run as hot either imo. Id go with 800w to 1000w 10 bar lights over each 5x5 area. That would treat you well imo. Anybody else on this?
so i used to grow 4 plants under a 300w cfl i got about 3-3,5oz a plant that way... ppl say its imposible but somehow i did it 2 times ,so my plan is to get the same amount. first i thaought of using one small led for every 4 plants but you guys say its better to use bigger and fewer lights. thats where the 100 plants come from i want to grow the same size and hopefully get the same amount but using led and insted of 4 plants its 100 plantsYour lights are dependent on your canopy square footage.
