How long would you?

I wanted to go get some beer yesterday, but couldn't find my keys. Turns out my 7 year old was playing with them. He didn't know where they were and I ended up walking to the store. My question is, how long would you lock him in the closet for? Should I turn the lights on for him?

I wouldn't keep him in there any longer than 36 hours. He'll start to hallucinate and be useless when it comes time to process the coca paste.

Old enough to punish by way of work. Dishes, vacuum, sweep garage.

They do a half assed job, but it creates teenagers that will do it right the first time.

Besides, you gotta stop locking them in closets by the time they are 4. Could be working instead of sitting alone in the dark. Besides, by now at that age, they should have spent enough time alone in closets/dark basements/cages/etc that they should welcome any activity that involves lighting, natural or artificial.

So many bad parents these days, geez.

I swear to god, modern parents! Send him to the store WITHOUT money to get your damn beer. Teach him self reliance and respect for his parent.

Oh and guess what hub is getting under the tree this year :)
