I need to choose which plants to keep on each container.

At what point would you snip them off at ground level to prevent root issues?

I would have started them in cups and avoided the whole issue

Also your pots aren’t full and they are wet from edge to edge and you have sprouts in there. Water in a smaller circle around them

It's very wet under there and I am watering in a tight circle. I don't like a wet surface bear the stems in order to avoid "damping off".

These are autos.
I don't like transplanting autos.
