How long will it take seeds/pollen to mature?

Hello community! I think I might have a male plant and was wondering how long it might take for its seeds/pollen to mature enough to release? I just switched it from 18/6 to 12/12 it's been on that schedule for only about 8 hours. I plan on hashing it so I want some more time in the 12/12 to let it develop trichromes, but I don't want to pollinate my other plants! I've read on RIU I can pluck seed pods and nanners and actually harvest a hermi crop but I'm not sure I want to do that either... Most would suggest to play it safe and pull that dude from the harem before it ruins the crop, I've already decided to let them go at least a week before I scrap this one. But any info on the time it takes or any other poignant information would be helpful! Thanks!

By the sounds of it you should just bin that male, keep your grow simple.
Males don't develop trichomes, seeds etc etc....keep it simple dude ;)

I would at least separate your male plant to mature on its own in a more controlled environment. By the time you will be finished flowering you will have a lot of seeds if you continue to leave your male with your females. I wouldn't give it much more time if you plan on pulling it... check multiple times a day for pollen sacks that are swelling and take them off. I think it only takes a few days for them to start opening up.

The pods that I've already pulled (there's been 2) have been very small (1-2mm) like the size of a quinoa grain, and have been soft, light green, and downy inside. I forgot to mention the suspected male is already isolated from the rest in veg; inside my flower tent.
