How long until should I use the pucks for?

Hey everyone;

The guy in the hydroponics shop recommended that I transplant the germinating seeds into those expanding pucks.

After a day or so of germination, i have put the sprouting seeds into those pucks about half inch depth. The exanding pucks are about 1.5" in diametre and about the same in height.

I used care and precision and a sterile utensil. The pucks are now in a mini-plastic greenhouse and I will begin them on a light cycle first-thing tomorrow morning.

My question is, how long do I wait now to move to a larger pot with soil? How large a pot should my next move be?

Thanks!

when you start to see the roots coming out the bottom or have a good root ball then place into a small pot..small pot for better root ball..root ball=easy breezy transplant

one other thing if the sprout is showing you dont want the cover over it...it needs to ahve fresh air..also keeps mold from building up..only use that until the sprout show or if you are cloning..

ok, thanks guys... i'll open the container up when I see the sprouts. Yes, I will be growing in soil, and I am hoping for a 4- footer, as this is the limitation of my grow box. To see my box, click on the signature link or buy me dinner.
