How Long To Flush in DWC?

Im about to harvest my first plants grown in hydro but im not to sure when to start the flush and what i should use to flush it? Ive heard in hydro you only need to flush for a few days but that doesnt sound right. Do i use straight water or should i use a flushing product like final phase? Any info would be greatly appreciated!!!

I use fresh RO water for 1 week or so. As to when, I don't think anybody can give you a perfect answer. It comes with experience. Worst case scenario is you push your harvest back a few days and get a few extra amber trichs. I'd rather harvest them late than early.

Some people use products like final phase. Some people flush for 2 or 3 days. Some don't flush at all.

I just never understood why people want to starve the plants when they are at the point of really putting on weight.

I use GH nutes and if I dont give 7+ days of a plain water flush I think I can taste chemicals. Though that maybe due to my drying and curing method. Never used a flushing agent but might try this time around. After just a few days with plain water the fan leaves start to yellow up and die off. It's sort of sad to see but it's all a part of the process. Lets you know the plant is using up all of the stored nutes which is what you want.

Timing can be difficult if you do not know how long that particular plant takes to finish. If you wait until the plant reaches its full maturity and then start to flush you will be adding an extra 7-10 days onto flowering time. This could push the plant past its prime harvest time.

I personally use the final flush blueberry(just a preference) for final 5 days on a dwc. That is all and it does not taste like chemicals at all but it could be me.
