Not trying to bust your 'happy bubble' or anything motoxmom... however I'm afraid you haven't taken in an important piece of information. I'm assuming that your talking about the breeders 'Advertised Flowering Time'. If that's what you are referring too.. then that's fine, however, you need to put in the variable that many new growers forget to put into the equation. I'm talking about your growing environment. Such as, your lights and the wattage/lumens they each put out; how much and how little nutrients you've been feeding the plant(s); and the over-all environment that you grow your plant(s) in.. such as the temps and humidity levels.
What I'm trying to say here.. is that many of these breeders (Nirvana, TGA, Attitude) - they all have their 'Advertised Flowering Times' for each strain. That's all good and well, however.. they're 'advertised flowering times' are based on the assumption that the plants are being growing in an 'Optimal' growing environment, meaning that the environment is absolutely perfect.. or based on the breeders setup, and their personal information that they attained from growing the strain personally, using their lights (usually 1k watts or more), fans, c02 (usually).. which you could say that they probably have as close to an "optimal" growing environment as possible.
So yeah, you always have to stop and consider this variable.. the variable that many new growers forget to add into the equation.
For example.. I only grow for my personal consumption. Honest to God about that.. I never have more than 2 plants at a time/per grow... though sometimes, maybe once or twice per year, I'll do a 3 plant grow.. but again, that's very rare. 95% of the time I just do two.. sometimes even just one. Anyhow, my point is.. is since I only do little bitty grows for my personal consumption, I don't need a big fancy light or anything like that. My current setup consists of 6 125watt CFL bulbs for side lighting and then I've got (I had two but sold one) my single 150watt HPS lamp that I got off E-Bay for like $80 bucks after S&H and taxes.. can't hardly beat that price. The 150 Lamp is rated at 17,000 lumens.. which is plenty for what I do, plus when you add in the lumens from the 6 CFL bulbs... it puts my total lumen output up in the high 20k area.. which again, is plenty for what I use them for. My total wattage is right on 900 watts once I add in the wattage from the CFL lights.. which once again, lol.. is plenty for what I do.
But yeah, with my setup.. I usually add between 1 to even 2 possibly 3 weeks to the 'advertised flowering time' from the breeder. It sucks with having to wait a little longer for my grows to fully flower and be fully plump for harvest.. but its always worth the wait.
sorry for rambling.. this Black Label 'Black Kush' really gets me yapping. I apologize.
anyhow, hopefully I opened up some of your eyes about this variable. something to always keep in mind when searching/looking at different strains from different breeders.
peace.
