How long should it take for plants to show sex from 12/12 from seed

I just have a couple of questions. How long to show sex from 12/12 from seed? The other one is when do I start using fox farm nutes? The seeds were planted on 1/20 and repoted last week in fox farms ocean soil. This is a cfl grow with 3 85 watt 2700 and 9 23 watt 6500 in a 2x 3x4 box. Thanks for all the help

Takes just as long as under a 18/6 or 24/0 light cycle, 5-8 weeks from seed, when they reach sexual maturity. 12/12 from seed does nothing but reduce your final yield.

No nutes for the first 3 weeks. The cotyledon leaves supply everything but light and water.

Then, 1/4 strength to start and work your way up.

I'm no pro grower or anything but all the research I have done on growing 12/12 from seed does not support what you are telling this newbie. 95% of all the 12/12 grows I've seen the yeild was not affected at all. Not to mention they show sex sooner than if you veg. I've seen some 12/12 grows show sex in just 3 weeks. I realize this is a very old thread but I just wanted to clarify that growing 12/12 from seed most def does not negatively affect yeild. I'm sure they're are many 12/12 grows that have had crappy yeilds, but that could happen to any grow.

yep your right, old thread and 12/12 from seed often show sex at week 3-4

all mine did, all between 1 and 2 foot high in 6L pots 12/12 from seed all show sex after 4 weeks fist white hairs came around week 3 now at week 6 or so I have white hairs all over and buds starting to swell I guess Im half way so another 6 weeks or so to harvest

from the research I have done it seems most finish 12/12 from seed in 11-12 weeks so faster then if you Veg at the cost of yield

but do as I and plant a few more and get the same yield in short time at the cost of a few seeds/clones, my 600W still covers a 4x4 area no matter if it is one hugh plant with 12 weeks Veg or 6 with little veg time, or 9-12 plants 12/12 from seed ..

In 12/12 from seed the plant simply grows until it's old enough to start flowering. This is *usually* when the plant shows preflowers in veg, although you may not see them. With 12/12 there is no question and the flowers show up as soon as possible.

it's basically all strain dependent. just because you initiate 12/12 doesn't mean it starts to automatically flower or mature at a faster rate, it stills has to go through the veg cycle before it starts to flowers.
