:joint:Hi I have 2 Clones 1 is a :leaf:White widow:leaf: that was cloned on the 19th of this month, the other one is a :leaf:Chem dog:leaf:, cloned that was cloned on the 17th. So far they are really healthy and growing well i have pics. As of right now i have them on 5 CFLs 3 of them are the bright white and the other 2 are soft whites (im only pushin around 8 or 9,000 Lumens) I do have a nice hps light for the flowering tho =) i have some great reflective material around my grow box in my closet and the heat isnt really an issue because of the fans. I was wondering when i should change the lighting to 12/12 , I have them on a 18/6 schedule right now ....any advice would help thx(first time using CFLs! hoping for good results=):blsmoke:

quality strains such as those deserve to be vegged a minimum of one month with 6 weeks being ideal. But thats assuming you have the space and those CFLs arent helping. But one month at least to get full potential.

Id veg for 2weeks then flip to flower for about a 1.5ounce harvest for each plant? How much watt the hps? size containers. I do clones for 10 days then switch to flower after that grow in 2 liter bottles using fox farm and coco coir. great results!!!

Do you plan on any training? they will about triple in size from the size they are when you put them into 12/12, so if space is a concern keep that in mind. If not and your going to train them i'd fim and lst the new tops and just keep tying it down to get an even layer of top colas, kind of like a screen of green(or you could just do a scrog)till you fill your horizontal space, then when you flip to flower all the colas should shoot upwards and fill your vertical space with multiple big top colas.

I would say 3-4 weeks veg max, and when you bud you should keep the cfl's on it along with the hps bc even with the hps it's still not putting out much lumens. What size pots do you have them in?

if you can keep the back of your hand under the light at the height your plants tops are and it doesnt get uncomfortable after a minute or so your good.
Its gonna make a huge difference, I veg until they mature and start showing preflowers/alternating nodes, works so much better than trying to flower them b4 they are mature and ready. if you want to keep vegging though you could, the fact its mature just means its ready to flower, not that it needs to be changed to flower right away.

I have done some research into Greenhouseseeds White widow ready for my planned mother plant.

Arjan recommends that the plant is vegged for 8weeks before turning to flower.
During Veg keep the EC level around 1.8 with a PH of around 6.2
During flowering keep the EC at 1.9-2.0 then after the 4th week up the EC to 2.1-2.2 then during the last 2-3 weeks drop the EC back down to around the 1.7 mark.

WIth this the GHS white widow should not exceed 2ft tall in veg and that way you end up with a stocky 3-4ft plant with approximately 4-6ounces of bud per plant.

So the basic answer to your question is that it is recommended to be vegged for 2 months then flowered.

Hope the extra info helps you out.
