Not all strains are the same. Shit not all phenos of the same strain finish the same.
What was good info for your plant might not be good info for his.

It is a general guideline however I have had calyxs swell and then 3 weeks later the trichomes decided to mature.
I've had the hairs receed and calyxs swell. I thought it was done to find the next day a bunch of new pistils got spit out.
It goes plant by plant. We need to look at the entire picture to determine readiness.
