I bought an reverse osmosis system off ebay about for 5 months ago. Do you think it's time to replace? I usually use about 10 gallons a day.

It depends on how bad your water is. The filter membranes typically last about a year though. The more junk in your water, the quicker they go bad. :weed:

Thanks for all the great info. From what I hear the city water here is pretty bad. The membranes have changed colors so i think they might be done. Thinking about getting a new one from Hydro logic off ebay for $100 shipped. The one I have is pretty slow and takes about 30 minutes to fill a 5 gallon. The one from hydro logic claims to get 60 gallons in an hour. Anyone here have one?

I don't have experience with that particular brand but they are usually pretty accurate with what they claim. Keep in mind that the "junk" in your water will dictate performance. The more garbage, the shorter the lifespan of the membrane. Most of them have prefilters. If you don't have one, it's a good idea to get one as it will increase the life of the membrane. :weed:
