How long do plants veg for?

I would without question invest in the 2700k bulbs - either HPS or in Flouros/CFLs

Personally, I would get the ballast - especially if you plan to continue to grow. Your yield will be much greater with an HPS

You should be able to pickup a 400-watt ballast for around $65 on 1000bulbs.com. Which is a little bit pricey.

But ultimately - it's a question of what you want to do.

true, i think ill dip into the hps system but for the mean time ill go with these tubes, thanks again for the help guys, and ladies have a good rest a the night..
