How long can mixed nutrients sit for?

Like title says I'm wondering if nutrients can sit after being mixed into water. I'm planning on a vacation for 10 days. I all ready have my watering system figured out I just need to know if it's cool to leave the nutrients sitting in the water for that long. I'm thinking about getting an air pump so it keeps them mixed up so they don't just sit at the bottom.

Nutrients being used:

  • BioThrive Grow
  • Cmag+ - 8 oz.
  • BioMarine - 8 oz.
  • BioRoot - 8 oz.
  • Diamond Black - 8 oz.
  • BioWeed - 8 oz.
Those are an idea of what i'll be feeding into one batch, but i'm not exact on that yet.

Thanks in advance,

not really sure but dont see why not. only issue i could see is algea forming if the water is exposed to light.

just looked a bit and said 6-7 days people let em sit for and never have any issues, will want to get a second opinion from someone who knows more.

Thanks man that is good to hear and I will def keep looking around too. The water will be in a dark closet so it will never see any light :).

yeah best thing to use air pump to keep nutrient oxygenated or it kinda get a bad smell...

yep, all the nutrients in the bottles or powder bag is mix and feed right away after you read the plants...but one thing its tea compost, you can bubble it for few days or a week , which i never tried it before but i would like to give it a try soon.

A week may be ok, I have had problems with water that I had sitting for more than 2 weeks tho. I think it really made my girls sick. it was an outside grow, so it could have been something else, but I blame the water...

I done a test one time and all was well after 5 weeks of water diluted 5L grow A+B nuitrients laying still. plant showed absolutly no side effects whatsoever. check ppm/ph though. my ph was fine but ppm went up by about 100ppm.

hope this helps :)

The guy at the hydro store near me has a PhD in plant biology was telling me the reason they put three part and two part formulas in seperate bottles is because some of the nutrients will actually bond to the others and become unavailable to the plant... youll see it actually if you mix the two staight and let them sit for a while youll get a deposit at the bottom. But maybe diluting them to the ppm your using would be enough to prevent that ? I dont know. I was wondering as well how long I can let my mix stand for. I find I usually mix too much and have alot of waste so it sucks having to dump that. Other than the possibility of the chemicals bonding to each other and becoming useless I cant see what else would happen that could ruin the mix, unless exposed to light as mentioned and youll get algae.

like i said 5 weeks is no probs. could possibly have went longer.
is that a 1 part base nute? or 2 part or 3 part?

If its a 1 part its possible they use a chemical that prevents the nutrients from bonding to each other. If its a 2 part than I think we have a pretty solid answer that its harmless to leave them sitting. Thanks

Sorry to jump in here late but I think it's important to mention the importance of oxygenating your mix. After24 hrs of mixing will actually cause your beneficial bacteria/microbes multiply many times over(u will see it bubble up). However in order for this to happen there must b a carb/sugar ingredient added to feed the microbes. Also if u leave your tea un aerated anaerobic bacteria forms which is no good. We want aerobic bacteria which results in a very healthy vibrant soil food web

I know this thread is old as shit, but, so I dont have to start another one I'll just bump this.

Would anyone see an issue keeping this mix in an aerated reservoir for say up to 2 weeks or longer?

base grow nutrient(single part)
orca
zyme
camlmag
silica

Thanks

Enzymes generally can’t be left in a feed oxygenated or not it, creates a film of slime

I know my reply is late as shit but I need to know, are your mixed nutes still good?

I'm actually curious myself, popped this question into Google and found this thread, surprised its still getting posts lol.
I am running Current Culture so my notes are sterile, and I'm considering pre mixing my nutes a week early, and using that rez to top off but I want make sure they can sit no issues that long. Of course I will have a water pump to circulate and mix, and possibly an air stone (even though my air pump is on the other side of the room‍♂)
