How long before you have to move males out of grow room?

Was just curious to know how long before you have to move the males out? How long into flowering will they begin to release pollen?

I"m just worried because there's a fan in there, and i'm afraid the fan blowing on them will cause the pollen sacs to open.

The reason i don't just kill em now, is because i'm not sure if they're male or female yet.

Just wanna know the absolute latest i can keep them int he room to distinguish them before i have to worry about pollination.

thanks a bunch

If you cannot tell you are most likely okay as long as you know what you are looking for. Post some pics. We have some experts around here. bongsmilie

after switching to the flowering cycle it will usually take about a week or two to determine sex of the plant. after the sex shows you still have another couple weeks for the pollen sacks to mautre and open up. if you cant even tell sex yet then you still have weeks possibly to go.

i assume they're male, because it looks like they have balls around the nodes. I also see no pistils. However, i've read that there are instances when sometimes there will be no hairs that emerge, until way later. So i'm just a little bit confused.
One plant has shown female traits though. Saw two pistils coming out of 3 of the nodes :) at least that's a plus.

But the reason i'm hesitating is that the "male" plants have the little round things at the nodes, and it looks almost exactly like the one female i have. Except for the fact that there are no pistils protruding from it. So, idk if it's just extra growth, or if it's a female without protruding pistils, and i should wait, or if it's just a male. And i would love to post pictures if i had a camera that wasn't attached to my cell phone :(

Thanks for the help though. Can anyone show me some pics of what a female preflower looks like, BEFORE the pistils are coming out? I know how to recognize pistils, it's just idk what the little female part looks like without the hairs sticking out.

I'm not entirely sure how pollen sacks work, but from other plants I have worked with. I haven't seen the sex organs on weed's yet. From other plants you have until the sacks rupture to remove them, the sacks will turn yellow, or red or some color besides green when they are done forming then rupture, the color transformation is the pollen inside the sack.
