How Long Before I Transplant Baby Plants?

I have 6 1 week old in jiffy pots using ff ocean forest they are under 2 fluorescents 4' 6500k 32w each transplanting in 5 gallon pots using same soil. I was wondering when should i put them into the pots?and i am adding another 2 pack of the same bulbs with 24 inch fluors 8500k 17 watss each on the sides any advice???

I transplant right before I have to start watering every day. That is, When the plants roots take over the container they are in, you will have to water much more frequently. Transplant before this happens. You could also just toss them into 5 gal containers now....it wont hurt anything.

I would rather let roots build bigger mass before transplanting, helps keep down on over watering issues once planted into a larger container.

Will the jiffy potd break down?just pop them rite into soil?

yep, you mean the little square jiffy cubes that you must fill on your own correct? yes they will break down.

They break down fine, but you can cut slits in them to help roots break through more quickly.(A razor blade is ideal to avoid tearing.) I use Jiffy pots to start all my seeds. I was using them for garden seeds long before I started growing Cannabis. I usually transplant seedlings once the third set of serrated leaves are visible.

I like the idea of transplanting, once daily watering is required. That is a good guide.

I transplanted half of them today about a week and ahlaf old had second set of serrated leaves on them used same soil as were in used in jiffy put them in 5 g containers how long should i leave under fluors?
