How Long before I switch to 12/12?

My first grow. Been vegging for about 2 weeks now. I'm using a tent outdoors because it's MUCH cooler than indoors and much easier to vent. Using a 600w MH, 2 intake fans, 1 centrifugal exhaust and a desktop fan pointed directly at the light. Temps have been staying around 70-90 at the canopy level.

How long before I should switch to HPS and 12/12?

Two week veg?! I'd say she's good to go now. Don't forget she's going to double in size by the end of flowering

Thanks Sworth! If they doubled at this stage that would only take them about 1/2 way to the top of the tent. Why stop there? I'm thinking of going maybe another foot or so. Bad idea?

I think its a good idea. The longer you veg, the bigger the plants. You just have to be careful that you get light penetration down through the plant. With 600's thats pretty good penetration.

Always expect double and you'll learn after you get more grows under your belt what works in your space...........and you can veg at anytime you want Some people veg from seedling in small mini setups Good luck

I veg mine over two months..so yeah, go with your guesstimate and veg a while longer...means more bud!

While you veg another foot, imo I'd get another fan or angle the one you have on your plants, your going to need to strengthen those stems up a bit, you don't want 1 snapping during flower

veg longer. try to get a month in veg time invested every cycle at least!!! I prefer 6-8 week veg time but I'm allotting for a little extra time I am training my plants and trying to create an even level top canopy. spread those branches out gently, manually with your hands. bend and pull the branches the direction you want them to grow.. get small bamboo stakes.. tie them to the stakes..trim off the undergrowth level of shit growth near the soil line. do a little extra work and let the plant have another couple weeks of veg time.makes a difference.

the quantum kush was a nice choice! but can stretch quite a bit. they get tall. not every pheno.. but most.

figure at least 30 day in veg but 60 days work great you grow trees (not counting the germination and seedling stages of growth = about 20 extra days ((germination stage 5-7 days - seedling stage 1-2 weeks)) so for a 60 veg grow it would take 80 days or so -know it's a long time but worth it in the end

Well I read that Quantum will triple in size. So here are my girls one week into flowering. Looking ok?

thats because of the timewreck parent. it can triple.. not a guarantee.

theres an official TGA quantum kush test thread out there by "ocanabis" on the Internets.. the test plants from photos looked like 2x stretch just from my observation.
