How long are people waiting to hear back from Health Canada ?

Ohh lol . I'm not bringing that paper anywhere. Stays in the safe. And I'm sure no officer will accept a photocopy of that paper as legit so no I wouldn't think about photocopying it.

What are these green papers you speak of?

ACMPR authorization letter kind of looks like a light shade of green.

Exactly, not sure if you get the label with a shirt though. The cards are useless. The label is what you need to possess/carry until you receive the registration certificate.
Says who? As long as HC has you on record, law enforcement can call that confirmation number to verify if you are authorized.

If you are respectful and don't look/act like a scumbag (eg. like an emery) then interactions with law enforcement are generally quite pleasant. Like most Canadians, I have no issue with law enforcement detaining disrespectful claimants until verification in the best interest of public safety.
Hi everyone! I haven't been on here since 2009! though I mostly frequented Cannabis Culture Forums which seems to be pretty much dead now.

Couple of questions:

I see some of you are paying a lot of $$$$ for doctor paper work? I have an appointment coming soon at a place in Calgary (Natural Health Services) and it claims there are no fees except for a fee for reviewing form for production. What gives? how are they making money? LP referral? This place says I have to go back for reviews every 3 months and in the first appointment I will see a doc then get sent to someone called a "Bud Genius" to pick a LP which I plan on using until my own grow.

I also see you guys are waiting many months for HC, and many of you are just dropping seeds which they take their time reviewing documents at HC. Am I safe doing this? All my gear should be here within the week!

Should I just skip getting my license and production license and just do it because by the time I get it it will be pretty close to legal nationwide anyway? or does somehow submitting put me on the radar and i will get "visitors"?
Many members on this forum who post in this sub-forum are anti-everything and will advise you to do nothing at all. Those are the seedy characters who aren't happy because they have a criminal record and/or poor English skills that prevent them from qualifying to grow their own as responsible citizens.

You should find out for yourself if NHS works. It looks like they are billing your provincial health care so that is a good sign. Oh yeah, those members here also think that the medical profession isn't qualified either.

What you choose to do is completely up to you.
The ACMPR Registration costs $22.
It took 6 months from the day I sent mine @YEG NHS until the day my registration certificate was in my mailbox. It expires a year from the day I sent it. I am allowed 15 plants. Allowed to carry 90g and I can carry it across Canada. Vehicle, boat, bike, plane or on foot. But if confronted by authority I have to have a script label. Allowed to store 675g. That's a 3g/day script.
The prescription is free.
Technically you need a container with a script label to be legally allowed to carry. Unfortunately the only way to do it through natural health services is to buy one from an LP.
Thanks for your response. looks like I will be popping the seeds like a lot have been doing as soon as I get back from NHS because of the broken HC system. I was just wondering if applying puts you on the radar for surprise "inspection" visits?

As for NHS, how was the visit and what should I expect or prepare for? I am quite nervous as I had tried to go legal a couple times in the past about 8 or 9 years ago but no doc would even consider it and it completely broke my self esteem. good bud that worked for me was hard to come by and I ended up guerilla for a couple harvests.

Let us know how it goes with the visit.

I agree you shouldn't carry that green paper around.

As for the photocopy, If your name, dosage, dates, and MCR number are all legible, the officer has everything they need to confirm validity with health Canada. I've not had any run-ins but I sure as hell wouldn't leave home without it (no LP bottles here).

Fair enough with no bottle you need some sort of proof. So ya I guess a photocopy at that point would be the best alternative.

Again Not a LP supporter at all.

Now I have a question. If my script is up march 1st and I go in for my renewal say next week, does the renewal start the day after my current script ends so march 2?

That's a very nice response Photon. Are you sure you didn't want to leave a
P.S. I think you are part of the criminal element and probably just here to rob Jay P
After a while you will figure out that I am pro-everything cannabis except anything with the involvement of criminals. The more choices there are, the better it is for everyone. Supporting the criminal aspects of society excluded of course.

It's really easy, don't be nervous. You go to the clinic. Sit in chairs in the hallway. Expect more ppl than chairs. When the clinic opens go inside. Give them your driver license and health care card. Sit in waiting room. They will call you up one at a time. You go in dr.'s office. Tell him what you use cannabis for and how much and how often. He will believe anything you say. He will write down a note on his yellow note pad. You leave his office. Give the girls at the desk the note. They will send you down the hallway to talk with bud genius about LP. Sit down, the girls will give you a tablet to fill out a survey. Then you will sit across from the bud genius at a school desk. Bud genius will sign you up with one LP. He will show you how to login with them and in 2-3 days you will be able to order. That's it.

If you have ACMPR appointment be sure to fill out form 100% accurate online at health Canada website. Print it off and bring it to the appointment. Hand it to bud genius with your $22. That's it.

Their website states that ACMPR should be the chosen for appointment type but when I booked my appointment a month ago it didn't have this option, only First Visit and a Seniors option. When I go to the site to book a new appointment it shows those two options still. So I have everything filled out and will keep checking it over and over until the appointment day and take it with me and tell them there was no ACMPR option.

Do they give you the Doctor prescription/medical doc that is required by HC so I can do this myself? apparently from Google reviews and reviews on their Facebook have comments on them delaying/loosing ACMPR docks or them not submitting them at all for many weeks. If give my application to the "Bud Genius" how do I know he wont just trash it when I leave? I mean they are LP sales guys and growing my own means no $$ for them?

No they won't give it to you. Fill out the form, bring your $22 and give it to bud genius at first appointment. That's the best chance. The ACMPR appointment really isn't an appointment, the bud genius looks at it for 5 minutes to look over for obvious mistakes. Mine was received by HC 3 days after I gave the forms to NHS.

I only support criminals in the cannabis business, it is my belief that MC's should control production and distribution for the country based on my years of in depth scientific research on the subject.
