You've been proven wrong a dozen times in half as many posts so I'll just leave it there. I deal with old dogs everyday GB. If you think I'm an idiot and have no experience you're not paying attention.

One thing you may want to take note of though, is that even you, the most outspoken advocate of homegrown and anti LP, just admitted that if the product was cheaper and better you would consider it.

It's only a matter of time. There is a reason everything is mass produced. Will people still grow their own? Of course. In about a year everyone will be able to. I think mmj though will still see some evolution and won't be recognizable from what it is today.

My opinion after 2 weeks experience and lots of reading
yes well I know something you dont and that Is they will never be able to do for me what i DO.
tHEY PROVE THAT DAY IN AND DAY OUT WITH THE POISON THEY PRODUCE COMMERCIAL SHWAG IS NOT MEDICINE!

show me where ??!!(:

good luck with dat one
cheers oh not knowing ears

Don't hold your breath while waiting for your paper work to come back from HC ..you'll be dead. Two weeks in,better add at least a few months to that,at least.I'll be at 2 months at this weeks end,and it's only a renewal.I never dropped a seed(LP of cource) LMAO till the day the papers arrived last fall.I strive to be legal and do everything by the book, plant count etc.BUT after being in this hoax of a flawed, joke, far from funny series of hoops to jump through.Im a proud supporter of the,got the doc script your good to go,the green light.I cant wait for HC to get their shit together, anymore, tired of waiting.I just dont care anymore and just do what needs to be done to get my TRUE organic medicine.Cant afford even the reduced cost of what these LP charge for their sprayed swag...they can keep their poison

So the government hasn't passed laws trying to stop medical grows?

And they're never going to try again?

Give me a break with the insults. God forbid someone presents a slightly different opinion based on logic, common sense, facts and history. It's called substance. You should try it sometime.

Being realistic and aware of the intentions of your enemy will only benefit your cause. Being in denial and saying I do what I want no matter what is going to go a hell of a long way.. no really...

Cheers, no ears
Maybe you'll grow a pair

Or a brain
I see future attempts to stop medical grows being unlikely, especially when rec legislation is allowing growing. They may look at removing med completely several years from now if rec evolves enough for med users to no longer need a separate med program to obtain/grow enough cannabis though.

THEY CANT AND THEY DONT AND THEY NEVER WILL LOL
THEY MAKE POISON SIMPLE SHIT REALLY

WAKE UP DUDE

OOPS SORRY BOUT THE CAPS EH
Name me something that you can manufacture/cultivate/produce for cheaper and higher quality than a comparable mass produced item. Account for even small compensation for labour, equipment, electricity, leased space etc and there is literally no way

Exactly what I'm saying. This medical growing and smoking of flowers/making coconut oil is going to be grouped with rec and the medical marijuana industry/products will evolve into something entirely different.

It's all good, pride gets the best of us sometimes.

I don't expect you to say you understand you were wrong and sorry for calling me names but agreeing with the guy who just paraphrased what I've been saying this whole time is good enough.

I also understand that maybe you didn't/couldn't understand exactly what I've been trying to so delicately articulate to you, but your lack of reading comprehension skills hardly makes me the idiot wanna be know nothing lmao

I'm all in at 53 cents a gram including my time and no pesticides used.
best I have heard of from Lp's was 1.15/gram...and it was the companies quote (oh and I believe they were one of the ones lightly spanked by HC for pesticide use)

They can and will make meds better than the world has yet seen from the cannabis plant. This is my point. You may be able to do it better and cheaper now, but this won't always be the case. That's a guarantee man, whether you want to believe it or not. Who makes the best heroin? Cocaine? Pharmaceutical grade is the holy grail. They just haven't been interested in actually doing it. And once it is better, cheaper, properly regulated and covered by insurance (free), we won't be growing it anymore.

Glad to see you've finally come around
Good points, I'd agree with the premise that once there's some proper study done and Pharma begins to produce alternatives the medical program will go away. That may take a while but eventually they'll at least try. Since the accessibility argument won't be as valid, they may get away with killing the program altogether.

What I don't agree with is the "we won't be growing it anymore" portion. I and many others who've been growing it for decades won't stop growing our own, it hasn't stopped us to-date and I don't see how/why we'd stop. Unless they change the proposed law there will still be some allowance for home grows at the federal level in recreational. The catch for home grows under recreational will be how involved and how much the provincial and municipal governments water down the grow options. imo provinces like Ontario are screwed for home grows from day 1 regardless of what the federal law looks like in the end.

I gave you one... now what?
lets hear what ya have to say about it.
Dude, I've been saying it the whole time.

The medication, industry, regulatory framework, legislation, production methods, quality assurance practices and standards etc etc etc
are all in their infancy. Once the gov allows the industry to grow and evolve you won't be able to compete anymore. It's still pretty much day 1.. Ok maybe day 2 with the Tweed lube but there are so many advances yet to be made on almost every level with every thing involved with regulated cannabis that it seems really shortsighted to use the current government controlled fucked up starting point as the benchmark for the industry... Things should get better faster cheaper and more available, and with more revenue comes more developments... Nothing is going to stay exactly the same

I didn't mean that we wouldn't be growing anymore at all, I meant we wouldn't be growing "medecine" anymore, at least in the eyes of the gov or HC at some point in the future.

Basically just to say one way or the other getting prescriptions to grow and having to file registrations with HC probably won't be a reality forever

would be insulting to medical patients for them to blend the two markets,
we have fought hard to get things to this point... and not to be tossed into a regulated rec market and only allowed
limited height and qty's of plants you would be allowed to grow....
No way to the Rec market thingy

Without a doubt, I just see it as a distinct possibility that it will be at least proposed, especially with a legal rec market and the possiblity of more conventional forms of cannabis medicines once they research and market them

For medical grade the point is not necessarily about cost, plus cheap and high quality do not correlate in almost any market/product. In fact most products have tiers for quality, reliability etc. and escalating prices to match. e.g. Cars, you can buy a low end car for say $12,000, or a higher end car for $112,000 and many models in between. e.g. Beer, you can buy Coors Light for (idk prices as I don't buy it) say $40/case, or you can buy craft beers that are typically the equivalent of $50-$60 a case. I'll drink the odd Coors Light during hot summer months but most of the time if I want a beer I'll have a have craft beer like a Hockley or Flying Monkeys. I don't care that it costs 50% more, I don't drink that much but when I want a beer I want something with flavour, not something that tastes the same as 90% of beer like Coors.

Some of us grow for the sheer enjoyment of the grow, some of us grow for medical and the knowledge of what goes into our medicine, some for both reasons like myself. I don't care about the cost, not accounting for labour I grow it for less than $1/gram (including all costs, depreciation of equipment etc.) and it's therapeutic to boot. If an LP or anyone else sold it for $0.50/g I still wouldn't buy it.
