you are gonna be guessing every time with chlorine vs bennies. if the chlorine is still present in enought amount, it will kill your bennies.
uv light would still be the best option IMO. unless you want to invest in a chlorine meter.
either that or quit running bennies and switch to a totally sterile system. then use pool shock at a higher ppm
I'm gonna go for uvc then, if pool shock can't be used in low enough amounts for it to evaporate during 48 hours and still be effective Considering I might fuck my flowering plants with the pool shock I'm not going to go that route right now.

just so you know, chlorine is a nutrient used by cannabis.

but for chlorine in your tank, here's what i would worry about: add 1ppm, day 2 it's 0 ppm. add 1ppm day 3, day 4 it's 0.5ppm, add 1ppm and now you might be back at 0.25ppm or maybe 1.5ppm? you'd never really know without a meter
