Ok this is my setup i had a tower fan on left side and 6" clip fan on right blowing on ligeht....ordered a 10" desk fan to serve as my intake and across on other side i have the tower fan blowing on plants....tent is 4x2x5 with 400w hps /mh temps stay about 90 degrees 4-6" above canopy....just got my advanced nutrients micro grow bloom in and fox farm ocean forest soil so when i transplant these 3 blue dream babies i will be using that insteadof MG like i used for the whole grow on my 3 flowering girls

ffof is too hot by itself, i would buy a couple bags of light warrior to mix in with it. it also looks like you could use bigger potters

Get those temps down, its only going to get hotter in the the bigger the plants get.

FFOF is great soil. It's not that hot. Just don't add nutrients for 3-4 weeks. Miracle Gro is some hot soil.

Those temps are way too high

you need a proper exhaust setup grasshopper, ...from what little i can see of that plant, she looks very stressed out. ...90degrees is way too hot for a small tent like that, ...it's good you got the air moving around inside the tent but you also need to be exchanging the air with fresh air from outside the tent.

Even just one intake fan would probably bring you down close to 80 if the air outside of the tent is cool it should cool the inside pretty well and the fan inside the tent would be enough to move the air around i'd think

yeah i have been working on the temp issue since i got it :( I just hooked the inline up to the reflector hood the other day it helps pull heat off the bulb but i bought the tent inline fan carbon filter and the sun system 2 for 250 as a set :( so i been working with what i got :( n i started my grow with 2 32w cfls lol....have been upgrading ever since i have a little bit bigger pots for next time and then im going to get some 2.5 or 3g square pots for the final transplant :( its hard cuz i have nowhere to exhaust the hot air....cant put it out the room cuz of where its setup at and cant cut holes or nothing haha but im figuring it out slowly but surely

...can you post some pics and a diagram of how you have your exhaust and scrubber and hood set up? ...a kind of flow chart for the air path? ...if you have a decent inline fan it should be capable of bringing your temps down to the low 80's at least, ...that's a bit too hot too but it's way better than 90!

...and go read that thread i linked you to, if you do i promise you will come away with a much deeper understanding of what is required.

its only a 109cfm fan....its super slow :(
IMG_3235.jpg
pretty much got it ran from hood to inline fan...then got it ran out to the carbon scrubber that sits on top of the tent then those 2 fans i have down there
I have the air hole at bottom open where my 10" round fan is and the bigger hole on back of tent...should i tape up the hole on bottom on side where my tower fan is also possibly??

...yeah man, you really need to go read that thread i linked you to, it has ALL the information you need to get yourself set up in a proper way.

here is a couple pictures of my old flower box and this is the first configuration from when i built it with 2x 150watt HPS in a DIY cooltube and i had nothing but passive intake holes (you can kinda see the intakes behind the plants in that third pic) and a 165CFM squirrel cage blower that was hooked up so the outflow from the fan was out the back of the cab and it PULLED air from the cab and through the scrubber first, then through the cooltube and THEN out the back of the cab.

...these others show the front and the upgrade to a 400CMH in an air-cooled SuperSun II and here you can see i've reconfigured the exhaust and i've taken the light out of the main exhaust with the scrubber attached and instead put it on it's own, dedicated exhaust without an unneeded scrubber. ...because the light is sealed it's air is hot but NOT stanky which is why it doesn't need a scrubber and because it was only to exhaust that hot air all i needed for that was an axial fan, aka a 12 volt pc fan. ...note that the scrubber goes directly into the box i built around the fan.

believe me, it sounds like your problem is gonna be a simple fix, even with the fan you got it should get better once you have the air-flow lined up proper.

Thanks for everyones input im going to figure it out eventually another thing i KNOW i need to do is figure out a way to get more ac in my bedroom to bring ambient temp down ! was thinking swamp cooler device use it couple times day maybe

And also when i get a better inline for exhausy say 250-300cfm put this one on other side for intake...??
Alot of people might argue this... lol! But if you have a proper exhaust fan and plenty of available intake holes in the bottom of your tent/room an intake fan is not neccessary IMO:) Also, definately get the temp down if possible but if not get some CO2...I'm guessing by your previous post that buying a CO2 setup is out of the question for now but you should be able to buy a CO2 bag at your local grow store for around 30 bucks... Its worth it IMO:)

Yeah i mean i will be upgrading slowly but surely but i make no where near enough money haha and bills dont stop so its when i get extra bucks and that is a good idea we have no real grow stores around here but i could look into one online !! thanks i hear good things about the co2 lol

...don't worry about adding Co2 right now man, that is an advanced technique best left to the pro's and to those amateurs with enough experience to know how to do it safely and effectively, ...you got enough going on right now to worry about without adding this level of complication to your setup.

...and i totally understand the need to upgrade slowly, that's how i had to do it too being a disabled veteran living on a fixed income, ...what i did was i upgraded using all the money i wasn't spending on weed once i started growing enough so i didn't need to buy it. ...in the meantime i DIYed shit, thankfully i'm kinda handy with tools, lol.

...better you should spend the next 6 months or so running as simple an operation as you can manage so you can get some success's under your belt, that will give you some experience and, more importantly, it will give you some confidence.

Yeah thats my plan...the guy i got this from was a full time grower for past 7 years he had co2 i was going to get with the setup along with alot more then what i got but someone came n got what he had left at his house lol money talks...N i have closed more vents in the house to get more ac pumping into my room to lower temp in the room :)
