Heres pics of Mary Jane shes 8 days old, and i've been collecting photos of her and will continue to due so until harvest, It is one of four plants i'm attempting to grow, this is my first grow ever and I will include a little information to give you guys an idea of what I got going on.. Oh and she is a kush seed i found a couple in a pound my buddy had, i got 2 kush seed plants (actually Gans, but people call it kush around here, still some really good stuff) and i have 2 high mid grade bag seeds i planted, but those other 3 are just sprouting mary jane is a little ahead in the race lol

Is she looking okay for 8 days old? or is she a little small or?

Soil - 40% miracle gro moisture control, 40% miracle gro organic choice, 20% perlite
Water - Tap water that i let sit for atleast 24 hours usually around 2-4 days though
Lights - CFL lighting 24/0 schedule

pics are taken with the iphone 4 HDR camera shot and pics tell which day the plant is on, for example day 8-2 is day 8 shot number 2

It got burned a few times from the CFL's, but its 17 days old, is she looking healthy?

p.s. i think because that one leaf that looks really orange is because of my 2300k light thats right by that one, its not actually orange like that

Plant looks okay. Watch your temperatures and your pH. Looks to me like you could be running a little warm in the room or a little acidic in your soil.
I don't mean to make it seem like there is something wrong. They're fine, just trying to be proactive and getting you to think towards the future.

Now would be a great time to Top/Fimm, Defoliate, or LST your plant if you'd like to try out a training method. If you're going with CFL all the way I really suggest you do something to keep her short and wide.

I'd Fimm her, but it's basically the same thing as topping. I'm looking at those nodes just beneath the new growth and you look set up for a plant with 4 good colas with a topping, but a fimming would leave you with 6 colas. I thought about LST, but you'd have to remove a few leaves (because no matter how you bend it you'll have them in the dirt), and I'm thinking this plant would respond well to topping. Just a gut feeling really.

Either way though should be fine. I was scared the first time I Fimmed, it went fine though, turned out to be my largest plant in the grow. I do it sometimes now, it's not like a promise with every plant. Some I do like to LST. But in this situation, were I you in your garden, I'd snip the tip for sure.
