How is she/he lookin?

What's up everyone! Noob here.

So I used miracle grow potting mix (yeah I know... ) to grow my seedling through until I noticed some super rapid growth and then suddenly started looking a little nitrogen sick which I knew miracle grow would do, so I flushed gently, placed my plant in a bigger pot with ocean forest soil and the plant perked up, however some old leaves look a little dark and some have the "claw". There's no burns or slow growth and it's day 20 and the cotyledons have just fallen. This is my second grow and I've read more than 50 threads and a few articles on growin and so far I think I'm getting the hang of it.

But do you think I should flush more in order to clear it completely or will a normal watering schedule wash off the nitrogen anyways? I haven't added any nutes btw just used some kelp extract to kind of wake the roots up after being bound and naked out of the pot.

P.s. Would it be fine to pinch off the two true leaves and the set of two leaves after that? Mainly my concern is in the true leaves touching moist soil and the other set two just look weak. image.jpg image.jpgimage.jpg

Yeah you can remove a couple leafs if they are touching the dirt and staying wet. Lighten up on the water a little and let her dry out a lot this will slow down the release of the nutrients but also I don't think that's the N claw I think it's water droop. I think I see a couple leafs almost have the outline of the taco shape, or canoe shape, and one looks clawed from the stem to the end, not just the end. She seems to be doing the stormy day droops. Unless you are seeing it differently I think she's just a little wet.

Edit: Oh by the way never say "he" we want females. :)

That's some helpful info there, never read anything about water claw but since I have been flushing a lot that would make lots of sense. I figured that since the temp is always at 78-80 it would dry up but oops Also realized I said he but couldn't figure out how to fix that so I got over it and sparked up. Thanks! I'll post some progress pics later if the problem resolves.

Thats not claw. That is the plant indicating that it is alive and healthy. The tips curling down is a sign of nitrogen toxity. Meaning it has more than it needs. You dont have to feed often. Once a week to ensure less is better strategy. When the petoles begin to droop the plant is thirsty or over watered.. When you assume a problem that is not a problem, then youve just created a problem. Youre on track. Keep reading and engulfing your mind with the gnosis of growing and cultivating. And get you some females....lol Good Growin.

Is your plant a female? It says how is he looking...?!
The title is wrong it's actually from a bag that I had so it's technically a hermie however i'm positive that it was an accidental hermie and not a trait since i only found two seeds in a bag that looked like excellent quality bud. and from what I read it might turn into a hermie or a female if grown properly. I know thats a risk but I have a few female seeds that are germing and I'm honestly just practicing my grow skills on this. but still fingers crossed it's a full she haha

How do you know your plant will hermie?

Hermies don't happen as often as you think.

I honestly think your plant is male, I grew several bag seeds that had those same wide leaves and explosive growth and they have both turned out to be boys.

As far as your actual plant goes it won't hurt it to pinch of decaying or dead growth. Your clawing will go away slowly as long as you stick to a ph'd water schedule. As your plant picks up speed it will be able to handle the excess nitrogen.

Also, is this plant in flowering or vegetative?

It's in veg, a male would suck but the practice was definitely good. I just wish my afghan kush and ak48 seedlings were as explosive. thanks for the info

Edit: I only think it could be a hermie due to it leaning against that trait and also consider males mostly grow tall with scattered leaves rather than bushy. But won't know for sure until he/she drops his/her balls haha

image.jpg Update, the plant looks healthy but the taco effect isn't getting any better. I did let it dry real good so it's not a water issue. Could it be heat? Heat is a constant 75 and light doesn't get hot at all with a fan on it. What could this be?
