Hey guys this is my first grow and my baby was looking great but i checked on it one day and the leaves had started to droop a lot but showed no signs of burn, It kept growing like a healthy plant and now all the leaves on top look great but the bottom ones are still droopy and curled but no yellowing or anything like that. Thought it might have been over/under watering but ive ruled that out since its been like this since the first week and the other leaves look great. Temps are 72-76 running 2 cfl 65w and will be switching over to a 150w hps for flowering if she makes it that far. other than that just wanted to get some feedback on how everything looks. Thank alot...the first pic is when the drooping first started........ IMG_20130102_100446.jpgIMG_20130102_100438.jpgIMG_20121223_131808.jpg

also i noticed the stem is green from the soil until it gets to the round leaves and then its purple where all the shitty leaves are branching from and then its green again at the top where the good looking leaves are

purple stems is a sign of magnesium def, if your leaves start turning yellow and brown spots occur, you know what it is. I am currently going thru it but i got all the way to the purple striped stems before i figured out it was magnesium def. it will also stunt your growth a little as i have a 8 week from seed white widow that is incredibely bushy but stands at a whopping 6-8 inches. Got to love new growers!

would it be a bad idea to trim the wilted leaves? and what is the best way to deal with magnesium def?
some people use epsom salt that you can goto walgreens or cvs and get, but i just bout some Botanicare calmag plus and I add about 2.5ml to a gallon each feeding or foliar feed just the calmag.
