how hot can a CFL get if a hps light is running as well?

bit of a noob questions so thought id post here.

i have a 125w enviro hanging over some plants.

ill be adding a 600w hps with a dual spectrum bulb for veg and flower. if i hung the hps above the CFL would this harm the bulb in anyway?

there is a fan on the plants and CFL so i think that should help keep the temps down on it. thats even if there is a chance of the bulb bursting or somethin.

I believe it can get up to about 450 degrees F without bursting and the filament can get up to 3500 degrees F. If I were you I would have the main light be the 600 Watt HPS and put the CFL on the side to cover the inside of the plants. Hope This Helps.

do what mocha says. the hps will be great for growing. the bushier/bigger your plants get the harder and less light will get to the side and bottom branches. ifyou put the enviro light towards the bottom it will help light penetration in those areas.

i have the basic setup of what you are talking about, i think. mine is a 400w and my t-5 4-ft cfl is about a foot under it and reaches temps of 35 sometimes, probaly hotter then you will go if you cool. i'm sure this can get even hotter safly. hope this helps

i should say 35C, i think that is about 95 F

nice plants as well by the way. are they AK47? i grew some and they were really bushy, abit like yours.
