If your theory was correct then we should have seen a big pile of black bodies from the summer. However many were white and few if any were killed by police. Of course this doesn't fit well with the theory that the US is inherently racist and full of cops who like shooting people because they are black. But lets not let actual facts and numbers get in the way.

I saw videos of violent protesters trying to burn things, smashing windows, looting. I saw videos of non violent protesters walking down the street and cops standing there with their dicks in their hands doing nothing.
If you behave violently and police gas you, beat you and arrest you it's kind of what they get paid for. There were protests in my town, there was no violence, there were no arrests. Coincidence?

Anyway, one was shot by police, one had a heart attack, one had a stroke, an one had an undisclosed medical emergency. That leaves one officer who was beaten with a fire extinguisher.
So, going by criteria established earlier this year it was mostly peaceful.
