How Good Is Infrared?

so i know that infrared camera can pick up a large guerilla grow better than a small one. but how small is small?

my locations are all pretty well hidden in the woods but i was just out getting the plots ready for when spring rolls around and on my way back saw a helicopter that was flying pretty low? kinda made me nervous.



so i plan to have about 6-8 medium size plants at each location, I take a different path each time i go to my site, so i doubt the will find any trails.



am i being paranoid or no?

Using thermal IR, They are able to see the temp changes within a forest. Maryjane plant temps are higher than other plantation in the woods. This is how they track down large outdoor grow ops. In Ontario Canada anyhow. They are also able to detect large indoor grow ops using same method. Nobody here stupid, paranoid yes. They only do these types of sweeps during peak season.

Newworldicon was just unaware of the fact that IR can track plant temps in the woods as was I. We thought IR only saw huge grow lights but we were wrong I guess. Learn something new every day

Understandable....However I believe this forum is a place to learn , and share experiences...not call people stupid, and put them down!

Okay I apologise for calling you stupid, bad day...no excuse!! However I am fully aware that if you had 6-8 plants even grouped together they would never ever EVER be identified by FLIR, these grows that are found with this method contain 100's if not 1000's of plants within close proximity to each other creating larger hot spots for them to isolate.

So in closing you are not stupid but just paranoid.

PS. People are fallible, even they guy in sky with the eye! And if MJ shows up hotter then what's to say there are other indigenous plants to that area will show up hot too.
