How fast does YOUR leaves wilt?

I have 2 C99 and when I water them the leaves start wilting after about 4 minutes.
Is that normal? I have never seen like this, that the plant shows signs of overwatering after only getting half of the total amount.


Or is it a very healthy plant?


Whatever you say, I will still think it is... :)


PS: Forgot to mention, it recovers in about 1.5 - 2 hours.

It's normal to droop a little. If it looks bad then you might need to aerate your medium with perlite.

The only time my girls droop like that is when I leach em to remove excess salts, you might have an aeration problem or your girls are just prone to drooping

Some details may help to figure it out...soil, temps etc...etc...

Mine have done that too and all were healthy, not sure ,but I notice it more if I have to use the cold water out of my hose.

I just watched mine get watered a couple hours ago...no change, just slightly bigger than yesterday. The fans are still tracking as usual.

The ones(clones from same plant and one seedling) that I'm looking at get six, four minute waterings every 24 hours.

The wilt if from lack of oxygen. You need to aerate your medium a tad better(add some perlite). It wilts when you first water it while it is saturated and basically sufocating. After an hour or two the draining water pulls enough oxygen into your medium and corrects the issue.

Try not watering so fast. Do a little at a time if you have too. Everytime it wilts like that from watering your slightly stressing your plant.

I water other plants the same way that are in the same kind of pot with the same mix, and it does not happen.
Maybe this 2 plant is somehow more sensitive to this phenomen.

I have a bit different theory if you care to have a civil discussion and also if the OP doesn't mind..:)

I believe what happens is the plant goes to sleep for a while and then wake's up when the oxygen levels come up to a certain level and aggressively starts to wick off all that excess water..

I mean think about what happens when it pours outside for a couple hours or so...the plants droop like crazy for a while until the sun comes out and dries it out a bit...

What happens next is the good part..:)

Ever notice the sudden and predictable growth spurt after a good rain...I firmly believe this is a good thing which I emulate in my grow, but the right growing medium is reguired I/E.....coco, promix, I use a mix of pine bark and other bark for now, plus peat moss and perlite...that way I can make it rain by running 3 times the volume of the pot with ice cold water.
I feed em after the pot dries out halfway while they are still actively wicking off all that water from raining on em...:)

So I feel that drooping leaves is a good thing as long as it is short lived and caused by the practice of making it rain..


I can not take credit for this...This was the product of RM3 and his doing experaments from his observing nature..:)

Yes, what I believed since I've seen this happen is this suggests a very healthy root and resource distribution system.
