how far into flower does verticle growth stop

Usually around week 5 or 6 of flowering. It won't completely stop, but will slow down a great deal until finish.

Wait. Scratch that. I meant to say week 4 or 5. That has always been my experience. Sorry for the bogus info.

depends on the strain <- helpful eh ?
that it does. 2-4 weeks usually (for stretch), a bit longer for full sativas. however, vertical growth doesn't really stop until harvest... even after the stretch the plants do grow vertically, packing on flowers.

ive used similar stuff called bonza bud
lasts about a week before it starts stretching again, so just apply every week.

Indica dominant strains will stop quicker, while sativa strains will keep going longer. I think pure sativa strains won't stop at all.

That's some good info. I hope that my plant won't get too tall for my closet... I don't think it will though.

Does the size of the pot the plant is in have anything to do with how tall it can grow??

I'm going to say no. The pot does not effect how tall it can grow, but if you have a small pot, it can easily get root bound. This will make your plant grow slower, it will make it dry out faster, and it's just simply unhealthy. I keep my plants in small pots, but that's just because I put them into flowering almost immediately. I'll be harvesting them just before I would have to transplant them.

My grow is on the 4th week... and it's stopped growing up. In fact, surprised me how short the plant really is.

For an~11 week plant, my experience is ~3 weeks of stretch after flip. Then about 2 more weeks of slow vertical growth and after that the plants don't really get much taller.
