How far do you keep your LED

I've read some mixed posts about how far to keep your LEDs away from your canopy. So in asking, how far do you keep yours and why?

There are some underlying factors involved in telling you how far to keep your light from your plant.
18" is not the best answer.

500w is a pretty bright light.
You can keep it further away then 15 or even 18".
You could keep it 30" away and still get great light penetration.

I would put it at 25"and if you notice significant growth, measure your plant from bottom of main stem to the top, every day to see how much it has grown.
Adjust the height accoringly

18"-22" is what I've found for my setup. However, that's not really a guide for every config. You have to consider penetration, light spread, and light mix when it hits your plants based on your specific configuration. e.g. Some panels are rectangular, some square, depending on the layout of your space and how you have the plants laid out, will drive your ultimate setup and height above the canopy…
