how far away

hey im growing a seedism killawatt and dutch passion brainstorm. 2 or 3 weekd in veg. im using a 250w mh in a closet with a desk fan. i was told by my dealer to put a pot of water in to increase humidity but dunno if its helping. if got about 5ft to grow in and my lights at the top of the closet. i was wondering how close shud it b to my plants with my ventilation. the killawatts 6" tall and th brainstorms 2". killawatts pretty stretched tho. im gonna flower at 12" or more depending on how close my plants can get to the light?

put you hand right on top of the plant and move the light down (or plants up) till it barely feels warm on your hand

if it don't hurt your hand it won't hurt your plants

thanks mate. might b a stupid question but how high do u think i cud flower at? and how much bud dry would i get?

yield totally depends on so much, and is truely impossible to guess. Most experienced growers shoot fot 1 gram per watt, some have gotten better than that but it is rare

Light hieght is the same for flowering as vegging

u can flower pretty early but wait 1-2 feet before trying it! too young aint u aint getting shit

do u guys think its a gd idea to have pots of water in there to increase humidity or is it bad for my plants?

im such a noob. im basically in a closet and have no idea how to read humidity. the closet gets hot and all i got is a desk fan to cool it so i was wondering if having water evaporating in there is a gd idea or not?

Do yourself and your plants a favor and go pick uo a cheap digital gauge.. you should be able to find one with temp and humidity with min/max readings for cheap... that way you know what kind of fluctuation you get aswell

Lightly mist the leaves every few hours
get a humidity thermometer thingy
in veg it can be nice an humid

then lower it as time goes til you get like 40% for flowering
