How does this look so far? 1 week in.

Hoping you guys can give me some thoughts on how this looks and if things are going as expected. This is my first time and I’m not sure if I’m getting it right.

This is an auto flower delicious seeds gelato. I started trying to germinate it last Saturday night or just under a week ago in a rapid rooter. By Tuesday morning I realized that sucker was definitely a breach birth, taproot and a baby root hair were coming out the top and it wasn’t fixing itself. Did an emergency c section, cut open that rapid rooter and moved it to a new one with tweezers.

At this point it seems healthy to me but not very large. It’s just over 1 cm. Just giving it a bit of water a day in a dropper top and some on bottom. Anything look or seem off?

It looks a little small for a week old but honestly with you having to perform surgery it looks amazing. With a little TLC she should be growing by leaps and bounds before you know it. Good Luck!

pretty good how many days did she take to pop the soil but usually they grow pretty slow until their root are developed then they start growing very nicely

It looks ok......personally I would place it in the medium now.

Thanks guys really appreciate the feedback. We are treating the thing like a newborn. Even doing 5am feedings. All the paranoia of new parents too.

I could see a tiny hint of the taproot by Sunday night. It was growing out the top of the rapid rooter by Monday. I used the Ronin method which seemed to work really well. It was a free gorilla seed. Figured I would practice on that rather than the critical Kali I paid for.

I would plant the rooter in your medium now tho because those pellets are ok but once they start they need to be planted
