How does the age of the mother effect cloning?

Isn't it more that we learn how to grow the plant better each time? My third run of a clone is always better than the first. I improve the fertilizing and light distance and such.

it may damn well be,, i hadnt really thought about how i adapt to the plant..i focus on how the plant changes for me.. like the original mom might be branchy, good for less plants w/ multiple tops..then after a few generations of clone moms, and growing out clones packed together for sog or scrog,, i notice how they seem to be less branchy better for packing multiple plants w/ single tops..then i think how i pack them in veg might be doing it as they are packed so tight the lower branches dont get as much light,, wile w/ original mothers i give them space to see how she grows...
so yes i admit to treating the plant w/ different nutes, light space, etc...but i also see the plant adapt to my grow style also...
