You will learn your own schedule. I personally stick my finger down about an inch or two and check. If it you don't feel moisture by the you can generally pick up the container and feel by weight. The container along with the dry soil will feel pretty light. You can use these two to get an idea of about how often she's thirsty. I live in 100° so I'm watering about every other day.
Too many variables in general, especially for me to answer. I will say as far as just not making sure she isn't dying watering at the correct times and giving her light will take you far. It'll be pretty hard to kill them off unless under certain duress. Keep it simple for now and learn the basics. Watch some youtube videos or grow tutorial videos on here. I like looking up other grow diaries with my strains or with plants around the same age. Really gives you a lot of perspective.
