How does it look?

Ok so the story is I got this plant from one of my friends that is also on medical. Unfortunately he didn't know what the hell he was doing. So I got the plant half dead, mind you it has been alive since at LEAST march, he bought it as a clone. I got the plant May 14th, and I was wondering how it looked to you guys, minus it being small for its age. It is definite female. Yes I know I need better soil (Edit: the soil that is in the pot is what my friend put in it, some 3$ garbage from Home Depot) but I was not prepared at ALL for receiving this plant so I am doing my best to keep it alive until I get the cash to take care of it better..... So how does it look?

Edit 2: No my walls aren't pink either, the camera just sucks.

IMO clones are just not meant to be growin in dirt. their supper slow everything, my first time even getting one started was a pain.
yours all depends on the mother. and as far as hydro is concerned, you pretty much gotta go auto drip to get any real action. it'll stay alive and grow the way it is, maybe a t5 grow tube, (got mine 30.00 at the hydro store) but don't expect 5oz's.

if ime correct its a compost used as a filler usuall its all bark almost i use it to break up hard soil in the flower garden it can be grown in but not recomended my outdoor plants have a bag or two mixed in with other soil and perlite 500 gallons was alot of soil for me anyway so i threw some of that in as a filler works ok

Right now I don't have shit. I am working on getting a 400W MH light probably, I want to get a 400W HPS light but I am not going to use that until flowering. And no it is not dirt, it is the crap from Home Depo that my friend put in it when he got the clone. Right now just to keep it alive, pretty much because I have to keep it inside, I have a 90W Flood light which totally sucks.

I feel so bad for the plant, but it is doing a HELL of a lot better now though I think. My local Hydro store has this badass tent setup that I really want but it is like $1800. Not something I can afford right this second. :/

I started with a floor lamp Halogen, mind you it didn't take long to find out it's the worst bulb for any kind of growing. Next light the T5 24" that you can add more lights to. Since, i got another, excellent blue for sure not sure for flower, plants arn't old enough yet. Just in a closet.

And get some ferts, 20/20/20.

I will see :), but I did get 20$ today so I am now headed down to get some soil and new pots..

So question now is how to I switch pots it without killing it.

Since this dirt is garbage that it is in now, is it possible to completely clean dirt from the roots? How would I do that? Or should I just pull it out rootball dirt and all and put it in the new soil?

try not to disturb the roots. dig around and down, you can knock the excess dirt off, just don't pull on anything. i pre wet the dirt dig a hole and gently firm-her down. water it in.

I'm always amazes me to see MJ growing in such adverse conditions. It just goes to show how hardy the plant is and really, how easy it is to grow. you're growing it in what looks to me like mulch which is used on top of soil to retain moisture. It is not soil. However you have two choices. Either pepot it into a nice mix or leave it. If it were mine I would replant it. But I've only done it a million times. If you leave it it may grow but not well. You may get flowers but not great buds. And in the end you'll say hmmm mb I should've repotted it

^ Right. I am going to replant it. I am most definitely not going to leave it in that garbage it is in now :/. Agreed that it is a vary hardy plant. I had a friend one time that left his out side in the snow. brought it in flowered it some how, and smoked it. This plant was only like 4in - 6in tall. Well I am going to replant it now :/ not something I want to do but the plant will be a lot happier :/

^ I did :) we will see how it goes :D

Ok done. :) I did it quick. The bag I bought filled the bucket 3/4 full but it is a LOT more than it had and WAY better soil. I am happier too lol xD I feel better knowing she is in better soil now :)

Edit: Ill post pics tomorrow I want to let it rest :)
