I'd like to reuse my coco, so just wondering how some of you that use it wash yours in prep for another grow...I had issues with gnats so I want to be sure the coco is pest free before I use it again. I don't have lots of gadgets so tips on how to physically wash it wd be helpful

If I'm not going to use it right away I hit it with some cannazyme and let it sit in a tote for a month or two before flushing with seedling level EC nutes.
Otherwise I just flush to low EC and run with it, old roots and all.
If you don't use cannazyme or the like, you may not want to leave much root material in your coco.

Checkout coco for cannabis site.

I re-use coco. I strain the old coco to get rid of pith, recharge it with calmag, after a couple days, drain and drench with BTI (mosquito dunks with water). I let the BTI sit for a day and lastly run my nutes thru it. I no longer encounter gnats.

Happy holidays.
