How do you stake your plants in pots

This is my first grow so everything is a learning experience, and I seem to learn a little too late at every step.
My girls are outside in pots on my deck. Now that the buds are getting bigger they are weighing down the branches, one even snapped today. I am trying some wooden stakes to hold them up but there are a lot of branches and some are more than 6ft tall. What have people found is the best way to hold up branches in flower like this when growing in pots outdoors?

Pound a couple posts in the ground 2x2 steel whatever and put your pots in between.Run lines between.Anything really.Just need something sturdy.

I’ve also been trying to bring them inside when there’s heavy rain/storms. Any options that would still allow this movement?

Try bamboo stakes from a garden-hardware store, they work well.

Be careful, anything hiding in your leaves and soil could come inside everytime you bring the lady(ies) in and then you have bigger issues

Well 6' plant so is it skinney plant or big bush.If its big bamboo steaks dont hold much.Ive screwed a square 2x4 frame around outside of pot.Screw in from top.Now you can attach verticals to tie plant to.

Several ways to do it but a plywood box 6" high .Put pot in.Again now you can attach verticals with screws.

I really like how you threaded the verticals through the rim of the pot and then zip-tied at the bottom. Much cleaner than sticking verticals in the dirt.

OP - it’s a good learning experience at least. Building supports ahead of time is easier than trying to build them around a mature plant but I’ve done both.

That’s a really clean way to solve the problem. This definitely would have been better to sort out earlier on, when they were smaller I thought a 4ft bamboo stake in the center would be enough… haha.
When I started the seeds it was half a joke, normally anything I try to grow is dead within a month so I wasn’t really expecting to get a finished bud from it. Now they are huge with heavy buds and I didn’t plan ahead, but am really hoping I can get them through to the end without total failure:shock:

I use a combo of chicken wire and bamboo then I have a ton of options to train it. it’s really the only part I have down so far (the physical stuff) but it makes a big difference IMO…like maybe the plant doesn’t need to work so hard staying upright and has more energy to divert to growing? This year I am learning the plant chemistry a little more and I can relate - the plant is always one step ahead of me lol but people are super cool here
