How do you shoot dope?

I'm not trying to do anything dumb, but I'm trying to put a psychedelic drug that is very similar to shrooms directly into my veins. I can get a clean rig and all that, but I am looking for how to actually do it... All I've seen are movies... I'm looking for a method of description on how to actually get what's in the syringe, in your bloodstream... Then again, considering IM injection, and that works by just stabbing yourself randomly and jacking it in there right? But I would prefer a method of IV injection. Any comments appreciated, considering that they are not just insults or questioning my motives... I'm trying to find an intense psychedelic experience that is similar to an insane dose of shrooms, so that I can find greater understanding. This isn't dirty drugs, so don't act like it is. Fuck yourself. I did find a few good guides, but when it says find the vein... also if/where tourniquet? Basically, prepare your needle with solution to be injected, put a tourniquet on, find a good spot, prepare injection site with alcohol cotton swab, put it in pretty well parallel to your arm, flag that shit, take off the tourniquet, shoot, remove needle, right?

I'm a little bit that way too... I'm getting full shivers, extreme anxiety, just thinking about it... but I'm going to familiarize myself with the process quite a lot to desensitize myself hopefully.
