I've been told that even unflavored rolling papers have a taste, part of it is the paper and part is the glue. Wonder if those clear papers have a taste as well.. does it even matter.. i think uncle Melvin was bullshitting when he said this and reffered to himself as a super-taster, like his olfactory senses were superior or some shit. what a dick.

Here's a titanium space case.
I like old school zig zags.
I filled my roach jar, now I have roaches all over again.
Ahhhhh the days when we used to save generations of roaches. Taking roaches rolling blunts or joints with those roaches then saving those roaches and rolling more blunts...... I remember for a football game I rolled 2 of my famous well known to my pose 5.9 gram blunts full of 2nd and 3rd generation roaches. Those corndogs layed us out cold. Now days though I cant save enough to roll 2 joints : /

The glass I got in Jamaica this time (it had red/yellow/green paint on it fucking rastas will try and kill you one way or another! the grinder now that I think about it, I bought in Jamaica last trip. I do the round tray. Wife got that for me in Vegas before our first anniversary som shit it's 9 years old! Time flies when you're baked as shit!

Yea I guess I do taste a tad bit of Glue with Ultra Thin Zags and yes the paper does have a certain flavor to it...in a way. But so does Every paper. I bought those clear ones thinking I was good....nope. They have a slight tinge of flavor themselves...but very different from paper as they are made from cellulose.

What I finally Did decide upon is...I do not smoke flavors. I have good med's and IMO flavors ruin quality meds. I wanna taste the dank. It's kinda like pouring grape juice in a $1000 bottle of wine...is how I look at it.

Finally I just stayed with the zag... not because I think they are the best...but because of the Glue they use. It is a super high quality glue that sticks anytime... every-time. Very reliable. The best paper that I have tried IMO is Raw. Dam that paper in good...but the glue sucks. And their is nothing more annoying than salivating over a huge fattie ...taking your time to perfect your masterpiece and finally.... get to twist her and F'ing glue will not stick...or yet even worse...Barley sticks just enough to come unrolled a quarter way though and lose precious Chron.

Then again...I dunno ; ) Just my 2 cents.

IMG-20130122-00029.jpgI use zig-zag ultra thins, I like to grind my material first, If I don't have a grinder I will scissor the hell out of it. First I fold the paper then indent the ends as kind of a stop, (I mostly do this if we are going to travel with the joints, ever pull out a joint and half fell out of the paper? I hate that, this method prevents it. Although the joint will be slightly shorter.) IMG-20130122-00030.jpg
Now fill the paper with your choice of smoke, then even everything out so all your material is balanced throughout the paper.
IMG-20130122-00031.jpg

Next evenly twist it up don't let the paper crumble all together in one section, this will always cause runs, boats whatever they are called where your from, once to the top lick the glue and seal.
IMG-20130122-00032.jpgIMG-20130122-00033.jpg
Here I do things a little different, I will poke the material back in the end then twist the ends.
IMG-20130122-00034.jpg
Now I snip the ends with scissors keeping it so the hole is small.
IMG-20130122-00035.jpg
Then place it in whatever you like for traveling. I throw em in my cigarette pack currently, but trying to quit so hopefully not much longer. Rolled like this they can be tossed around a good bit and never worry that when you pull it out half of it will be empty. I am sure there are better ways, this is just how I've been doing it for the past 30 years. I am pretty proficient as I probably roll well over a thousand of these a year.

No..imo. It's more of a novelty to me. Yes sometimes they do get a good burn but mostly not. It is good to have a pack in the gear for those moments when the bud is just perfect for a cello burn. The bud has to have a certain cure to burn well. Other words... I have found some strains burn better than others in cello but no where near as well as Zigs

I know we all have our own little RR (rolling routine).

This is how I Roll...

  • 1950's 12"x6" vintage crystal smokers tray. Super duper thick and hardy. Looks hand crafted.
  • 1 Bic lightro
  • One Mid sized bowl (for those sticky icky moments)
  • 1 pack of Ultra Zags and or king size Zags
  • Raw rolling tips (my new fav thing...but only sometimes)
  • Space Case 3" Grinder (best grinder ever... just gets dull after a few months of grinding sticky x sticky icky)
  • Electric 150 watt "herb grinder" - Sometimes ya just gotta : ) annnd if I hold down the grind for a minute she will spin so fast she separates the trichs for a straight power bowl. Worth every Penny.
  • Meds: Right now it's Northern Lights #7 (clone only)

Heads up... I had to break out an old camera which is not why the date is wrong.... the date is wrong cause I broke out an old camera.... annnnd smoked a bowl of sticky powder  in the spinny thing lol.

I have had the pleasure of smoking with some older hippies and it was such a stellar sight to watch them roll with their old school methods, 30 year old metal trays and huge glass pieces. Was really cool to see his "RR" Rolling Routine. Dude was a pro.

Anywho... How do you roll? :weed:

Niccce. You must be around my way. I think someone passed away and left like 100 of these things around the area. I'm a thrift store Antique hound.... one day I walk in a thrift store in Flint and see like 20 so I buy 20 lol.

Then I go to Holly Goodwill and see another 15... I buy them all. That was about a year ago... I don't see them around anymore.

I have a little experience in Antiques... My educated guess is that they could and would go for $100+ on the bay...and worth Every penny. In other words... you found a Gem.

I went to the Fenton Goodwill about a month later and found 2 matching late 60's matching chairs... paid $35.00 for both....Wait for it...wait for it (lol) ... $1800 on eBay and going for $2800 in Cali.

"Paid by the hour you say? So no matter how hard I work how much I do...not matter what...I still get the same pay??? Sounds like a form of slavery to me. No thanks."
