How do you inspect your bud?

With my eyes. Im constantly rotating and inspecting shit. When it comes time to check the trichs ill find my little 60x-100x scope.
 
i inspect every single bud as i trim, especially outdoor, by peeling the nug back and inspecting the stem beneath.

healthy, green stem is good.

mush, brown tint, or if the nug just falls off? chuck it in the garbage.

i always trim with an LED flashlight nearby to inspect anything questionable.
 
This sounds ghetto,maybe stupid, but I've found looking backwards through a pair of binoculars is a hell of a lot easier and better than any of those cheap loups and handhelds. I don't know anything about optics but that big glass in binocs is easy to focus, wide field, and bright.

(You don't actually focus the binocs themselves, just move them toward and away from what you want to look at.)

I'd call it genius if it works-

I bet I'd get a lot of attention at the farmers market, inspecting everyone's schwagg through a big pair of backwards field glasses. Then ask 'em which strain helps eyesight :shock:
 
AimAim is Definitely Correct, Binocs backward work great for Macro.
They will have a small field of view but it Can be very clear.
I use my Nikon Ultra lights.
 
I use a jouler loupe, but then have a 60x that is digital and hooks up to my computer! Super awesome pictures!
 
I have one of these and like it. But you have to read the instructions it is not intuitive. But the LCD screen saves me from dragging my laptop close to my pot! It has a USB mini b to attach to the computer to download the images.

I use one of these 99% of the time. I do have a handheld loupe but this is much easier to use. the only time I break out the handheld is when I take a last look at trichs

I inspect by sampling the buds from week 6 or so if they look sticky enough i will take a few sample nugs at this stage i can tell pretty much which phenos i will like
 
It depends what I'm looking at. Product ready for smoking, i like to see a large amount to check for consistency. Weed should smell good and feel good. If a weed turned to powder in my fingers I wouldn't smoke it.

If checking for harvest then I just look at them. I'll use a microscope on a new strain that I haven't done before. I like using them for outdoors when finishing times can really differ.
