Im having a really hard time keeping my rez water below 75F. How do you guys keep it cool? I saw a rez cooling system but it costs 300 and thats WAY outa my range right now. Only thing I can think to solve the problem is change the rez water when it gets hot but thats a pain in the ass! Thanks for your suggestions.

btw: how will your plants let you know if the water is too warm for them?

your roots will be the tell-tale sign of warm nute water and other issues. if you have white roots, your doing fine. Some people rotate bottles of frozen water to keep temps cool during the light cycle.

you can just dump a block of ph'd ice in your rez and thats okay? I thought the huge temperature contrast around it might have some sort of effect but probably not as bad a warm water... People do that though?

Hi, I use a Coleman 20gal cooler for a reservoir. At times my 5 gal mother reservoir gets above 85. I wrapped the bucket with insulation and even add ice cubes when it's really hot. I'm thinking of burying a bunch of coils of 1/2 inch drip line deep in the soil and pumping my nute solution through it. Well see.
Sometimes I think the higher temps affect the pH shifts. Like as in pH plummets when things get warm. That shows up as weird leaves that look spotty and faded (often confused with mites but isn't):weed:GrowIT!

Hey what up diowk?

I use frozen water bottles about 2-3 of them at a time. My res temps get into the 80's so I change em every few hrs if I can. It never messed with the ph or nute level for me so it should be cool.
