I just chopped my first 9 plants yesterday... cut the plants into about 3 sections on each plant and hung upside down. Then cut the fan leafs off and went back an trimming sugar leafs into bucket to try an make some hash.

Needless to say trimming SUCKS, wow did i think everyone exadurated it. How is it that people who commercially grow it trim? They mainly in it for money doing prob like 40lbs a harvest. I dont see the people with that much money sitting an doing all that work. Would take a month lol. From what ive read the machines suck an chop up all buds.

Trimming is the best part of growing in my opinion it's very tedious but well worth it alot of people never have or never wil get to experience it so cherish the moment you'll wish to trim more when your dry

A large commercial grower can afford an expensive trimmer that does not chop up the bud. I have seen some pretty sweet ones, bigger than a washing machine! I can spend a whole day trimming up a 1/2 pound easy. But I am very meticulous about my buds too. My wife gets pissed off because I pick apart her trimming jobs, after about the first couple hours she usually tells me to f off and I end up doing the rest myself lol.

It just takes soooooo long. So discourages when seeing how much is still left to go. Not that its hard just long. Had to get some beers and music for the whole day today an just sit and trim... one thing i can say is trimming the day AFTER you cut them is a mistake everything is wayyyy more soft and sticky then leafs are stuck to buds. Yesterday i trimmed some plants and it was alot easier then today was.

Ontop of that i didnt trim enough off during my "lollipop" an the bottom buds were like non existant. Got to a point where i thought if i trimmed the leafs around the hairs there wouldnt be anything there. Thought about addint to my sugar leaf pile but figured it may add up when in a bag or jar.

Unlike many I break it all down in slow stages .. I can handle trimming a few pounds of well grown bud .. But anything over this in a setting would make me drop a few grand for a good trimmer .....

Once the plant wilts its hell to cut up until dry .. I have fecked up and had to leave entire plants to hang due to procrastination .. Those plants though are always the best when done .. It can take a few weeks but when done proper the bud will look cured and be almost there as well ...

I like to trim right away too. It becomes a lot more labour intensive after the fact, for me any ways. You will get better with it over time though, I can trim at least ten times faster than when I first started, it's all about getting the feel and groove down.

Every harvest season I tell the wife "next time I'm getting a trimmer" Hasn't happened yet, guess I'm too cheap lol.

Next time im pretty sure im gunna let dry with leafs on still. That way im not on a time schedual an dont end up like i was today. Seems to be general consensus. Of best way to do it anyways... figured id learn from experience, tried to cut up an trim first then hang an next time i do oposite an see how it works out.

I hate it, it never gets better. I make my wife bring over a pot smoking friend to help when possible.
