Flushing is for toilets, leaching of soil is to remove excess salts when you feed to much. Just start lowering the amount of nutes until finished.

Pour strait PH'd water into the pot until it (water) shoots from the bottom of the planter (hopefully you do have holes in the bottom for drain)..and YES you do need to flush it at least once a grow (and then again 2 weeks before harvest).. once you see the water come from the bottom...flush it again (I always do it 2 times)..leaves will look droopy for the first 2 days after the flush...but will jump right back.

flushing is kind of bull shit in my opinyon. ive done comparisons with flushed vs non flushed synthetic nute grows, no difference. the plant turns nutrients into food, why make it eat itsself and stress it in the end of its life? i never flush...
