How do you find your seeds genetics!?

So I bought 6 Photoperiod seeds off Archive Seed Bank, Amnesia x Dosiodos #18 Expeditition Line and they didn't have info on their site about it. I emailed them once already asking more about the gentics but havent got a reply yet. I can't find much on these seeds. So when searching online how do I know which Disidos line and which Amnesia line to cross reference from? Do you assume it's from the original line, how do yall pros research? And yes I'm so new I was born 63 days ago that's how old my girls are and it's my first grow and I'm in flower so would like to see how others looked and smelled and what to expect when harvested.

Not much info on those bc they were untested seeds, hence the cheap price.

All I did was look at the other Amnesia Haze crosses Archive used & he had this in the description for his Memory Loss cross (Amnesia Haze x Faceoff BX}

"The Amnesia Haze, from cannabis cup winning seeds, produced an amazing select clone that Archive Seeds received from their good friend Tim in Colorado. A fast finishing, pungent, bubblegum/guava/fruit undertone with an overwhelmingly strong peppered incense smell that’s unmistakable from some epic Dutch Haze pedigree"

Also on the site about Dosido #18

"The heaviest most Kush Dominant of the Dosidos F2 lines. Huge thick sparkling resin glands and a mostly OG Kush nose but with better looks and heavy resin. F2 line shows hermaphroditic tendencies in about 5% of the population due to the OGKB Type 4 parent genetics.

Thank you for this, it's better than nothing! How bad is 5% hermaphroditic tendencies mean? 5% sounds low of a chance but idk if other strains have 0% or all have some. I thought I was getting a lucky deal with them being cheap I read great things about both strains but not so much about them combined. You would think more growers would grab the cheap seeds no? I've seen some for $500 are they really worth it? I'm to new to even dare try to grow expensive seeds!

Most herms are from the grower. You just have to grow them out yourself and see if there’s a keeper in one of those six. But, if you’re not keeping moms and just flowering out seed plants in a tent or room, expect some seeds in your flower until you get things dialed in and find something to keep around. Best of luck! Those are definitely good genetics from Archive. Should be an interesting mix with those two. Something with an even mix of those two would be a winner for sure.

I've heard mixed things (mostly positive) on those Dosido #18 fems with herms/nanners. I grew Dosido #22 recently & didnt have any issues. I recommend growing from clones & not the seed plants but that's just how I do things.

A good few of those untested seeds from Archive sold out I believe. I just think Dosido is not as popular as it once was especially when market already flooded by cookies. Personally I dont think expensive seeds are worth it, none of those breeders with those price tags are doing real breeding work to warrant that, hype sells a lot of seeds. Buy cheap seeds from reputable seedbanks or direct from breeders, find deals & discover what you like to grow & smoke. I like to grow sativa landrace & hybrids

It's pretty much impossible to know for sure the genetics on most of todays polyhybrids. There really isn't any way to authenticate what people say. Seedfinder used to be a decent source and still is for older strains but the way they're setup with basically an honor system there's really no way to know what's in todays pollen checker genetics.

From that description it sounds the amnesia kore cut they used as its the only ammo cut thats got a bubblegum note in the smell ime as for finding info on genetics seedfinder can be ok but even they get it wrong sometimes nothings perfect its a crap shoot read and read more all over the place and ask people you can trust is how u find out tbh it isnt always possible some folks just dont disclose paretal lines or lie so it isnt perfect

Seedfinder is what it is. It's not perfect, but I still find it to be the most useful genetic tracker out there. In a game of horseshoes, seedfinder wins over any of the others.
It's fine for looking up the genetics of older established breeders but as the seed game became the way it is today and filled with unscrupulous and dishonest pollen chuckers, much of what's been listed in the last 5 years by new on the scene entities can't really be trusted.

Yeah its the best of a bad bunch for sure just nothings full proof or perfect the best way would be to ask the breeder directly but even then as im sure you already know not everyones honest about genetics unfortunately some lie some wont talk about it some will but will talk in riddles like say shantibaba for example
