How do you feed outdoor plants?

I know indoor you can water and feed liquid nutes to your plants but what if they are in the woods and you only check em once a week?

water ever 3 to 4 days. if you get a good rain then let it ride for about 4 days before even thinking about watering them

Greenmachine,

I'm going to be growing outdoors soon as well. What I plan to do is use some bat guono and blood meal into my canister of water. What I was told is to make sure you give ur little ladies (hopefully they'll be ladies) half of what the bag of that stuff recommends. So if it says 2tsp per gal then do 1tsp. And it seems like you're not worried about watering so that's good. It seems like alot of people overwater their plants from the posts I read. But lets say it hasn't rained in a while so what I'd do is when you go to water it add that guono and blood meal into the mix because that's basically their food. That's what I plan to do anyway with my small and also good (blueberry and big bang) crop.

time release ferts. sprinkle some around the base of your plants(no more than the recommended amount, slightly less than that might even be a safer bet)or mix in with the soil. As your plants get watered the ferts slowly leech out. Lots of MJ growers arent too fond of time release fertz for lack of being able to control your feedings, but if your doing a guerrilla style outdoor, and cant see your plants very often, its your best route. As long as you dnt use too much for the amount of soil your using, and your plants dnt get really overwatered, you should be good. a long period of rain could cause problems, more water=more ferts dissolved which could lead to burns and salt build ups, ultimately compounding more problems. As i said use less than the advised amount so if this does happen it wont be nearly as much ferts being drained into the plant at once. Its easy to add a little more fert to your soil after showing deficiency signs, not so easy to take away fertilizer after your plants are burning up
