How do you cut clones from the mother plant?

I have a Tahoe OG that is getting kinda stringy, so I would like to cut the two bottom branches off. But, I don't want to just throw them away. I would like to use this opportunity to attempt cutting a couple clones. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Great step by steps on YouTube. Easier to actually see it over explaining it. It's relatively ease. Cut a good (not to hardened off) branch, shave the skin, rooting hormone of your choice (or none) and plant. Try not to let it sit out of water to long. Keep a bowl or something handy as to keep the cut end wet. Some people even do all the cutting and scraping under water to prevent an air pocket on the cut tip. Thank you very much, that was a much more pleasent comment than the one from that other "Nice" guy. That was the first time I've ever recieved a less than friendlly response to a posting. Everyone has been so helpful. I guess there always has to be a few sour grapes in every bunch!

Cut off the branches you want to clone and stick them in a cup of plain water...

Now take this cup of branches and trim off all the leaves except the topmost 2...then cut the tips off those leaves...now take each newly trimmed clone and dip it in some rooting gel and then put the newly dipped clone into a solo cup of premium soil that is wet...bury as much of the stem parts as you can and then stick the whole cup and plant combo into a ziploc bag...now put the bag o' clone into the bottom of your lighted plant space...After 3 days start opening the bag for a few minutes a day...a little longer each time...and in about 2 weeks you should have a whole new plant growing that you can transplant into whatever larger pot you want...
if you see yourself making clones more than once or twice then look into a DIY cloner bucket...You can make one for less than $30 and it is so much easier...but not worth it if you are only going to take a couple of clones a year.

I personally use a cloner and I just hack of whatever branches I want to clone and as soon as I cut them I stick them in a cup of cloner..then I trim them, then I stick them in the cloner...then in a week or so I move time into a new pot...I have one plant in the cloner that has been there for a month...it is a huge plant now...but I had nowhere to move it to..so it is now just a hydro plant...til I plant it somewhere I guess...
