How do you clean COB panel

Good day guys,

have been use COB panel for few months. I can see some dust on the lens this might reduce the efficiency of the LED. If you use COB panel, How to clean up the panel to make lens clear as possible without duct as possible?

Expect for a little pricey, I love COB led. Im using CXB-3590 3500K CD bin. I can clearly see plants under COBs are more bushy than HPS.
anyway, it would be awesome to have some feedback for Cob panel maintenance.

If it's dust on a lens, just wipe it with windexed micro cloth.

what about just trying a can of compressed air like you use on computers ect ?

Yeah I did that on out side of lens. Still some dust on other side. Which I have to open up the panel to do that.

Sounds like a good idea. Maybe it can go through the panel blow out the dust that on the lens

"Material should be cleaned from a CX family LED by gently blowing the material off the LED with clean dry air (CDA) or by wiping the LED with a lint‑free swab dipped in isopropyl alcohol (IPA)."

Edit: not what was asked for but this is good info for the COB surface.

Here is a list of substances to avoid from Bridgelux that I wouldn't trust around any cob from any maker, especially if there's a danger of off-gassing in a sealed environment under a lens or protective glass:

No fatty acids? I just buttered up my cobs.


I clean them with a little TP and rubbing alcohol.

thanks for all the inputs here.
I wonder maybe use iso 99% with glasses cloth.
Is that ok to use iso 99% to wipe on cobs?
I see dust on both side of lens, I assumed there are also some on cobs.

Hi ligrow,
I'm wondering have you try any of the means? I've just got some second-handed CXB3590. They definitely need some love and care.
I love to know if that isopropyl alcohol (IPA) working out for you?
