How do you change the photoperiod from 9a.m. on / 9p.m. off to 7p.m. on 7a.m. off w/o stressing the plant?
how do you change your lights on from 7a.m. to 7p.m?

Just do it. The stress from one change will be marginal. Don't make a habit of it.

do a 24 hr dark period. then gradually switch them back in 30 min increments

When your lights go off at 9pm I would leave them off till 7pm the next day. The extra dark time will strees them the least. You should be fine!
