so i started flowering these two girls about 6 weeks ago under a 400 W hps hydrofarm light, and they get pure blend pro bloom from bionicare organic nuts. only problem i'm having is a heat issue, their about 3 and half feet tall and still growinga and i'm running out of closet space..

i'm just wondering if for 6 weeks they're growing slower than usuall or not and if so what can i do to improve..

for water i buy gallons of distilled water, so ph should be good though i dont have a ph meter.... any suggestions would be appreciated

more pictures to come

Without knowing the strain and how it normally performs it is hard to comment, but the buds look quite small for 6 weeks. But as I said it may just be the strain, if its predominatly Sativa it may still have another 6 weeks of flowering to go and they may fatten up.

What about using an air cooled light? I think tha would help cuz you can get you plants like 6 inches away from it a be fine. From the looks of it that sativa may take a while to finish up. You are probably like half way through flowering I could imagine. Keep it cool but it looks like you will have a very nice harvest for that 400 watter. Next time maybe go indica if you can and keep them short!

I think a lot of bagseed is female. They are selfed meaning a female was flowering for so long that it thinks that it needs to reproduce before it dies and it makes its own fem seeds. That is how seeds get femenized seeds. Sometimes it gets pollenated by a male and then the seeds are male and female.

Here's an update on how my two girls are doing, i took these pictures yesterday right before i watered them thats why their kind of wilting a little. How much longer do you guys think, i've been flowering them for about 7-8 weeks, i know sativas take a alot longer to flower, but do you think they'll be ready in 4 more weeks.

this is a really useful tip that i haven't seen on the forum before. isn't it worth posting somewhere in faq or one of the stickies?

Do you guys think if i trim down the bottom leaves it'll speed up the flowering process since the leaves at the bottom are really small and they gradually get bigger as the you get to the top of the plant...

any suggestions?

But I would say if you want to get some good bud off those girls, you need to flower them at least another month. I have a feeling if you let them go 11 or 12 weeks total you should get some serious quantity.
I’ve never flowered pure sativa's less than 3 months.
The way they look I would say they are going to continue growing upwards as well.
Good luck and keep us posted.

i guess another month it is. i just have a height problem, i'm growing in a closet and the plants are getting really close to the light and i have no idea what to do about that. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Ill keep you guys posted. More pictures to come.

That is a sativa strain. It could take 11 to 14 weeks to finish.

The only trimming ya want to do is cut the small branches off the bottom.

Ya can take the top or even the branches and tye it down so they are cooler and will open the plant up to more light.

so i decided not to trim the bottom smaller leafs, i was too scared that it might stress out the plant rather than speed up the flowering process.

Here are some of the pics i took today before watering them. Tell me what you guys think of them. I think 3 more weeks to go and they should be fine. the plants are almost 4ft tall, their getting alot taller than i anticipated. ENJOY...
