how do they look? 2 week old White widow

I started 4 WW seeds two weeks ago today. I have been watering every thee days with nutrients every other day. I am going to reduce watering to the recommended crusty top soil method starting now. soil temp (appx. 4"-6" from tube) holds around 80*-82* and air temp is holding at 76*

I am working in conjunction with another guy and he keeps telling me to bury all the plants up to the water leaves (cotyledon). I agree with him on two of them but the other two I am unsure of. What do you guys think?

Also my lights are as low as I can go but the tallest plant is beginning to get too close to the tubes for comfort. Would you recommend just elevating the others on bricks as I raise the lights until they catch up? What can I do to catch them up?

i didnt bury mine and its doing fine but i wish i did bury it more so i would if i were you
you shouldnt nute yet wait a couple more weeks till atleast the third node of leaves
yeah you can put anything under the buckets to raise them just make sure its steady and doesnt fall over

There looking good to me, mine are 2 weeks old and are not much bigger. No nutes yet but I will be adding the first serving of root grow in 2 days.

It's not the size that counts, it's how you grow it. I'd rather have a small plant of the most dank shit I ever smoked than a leggy girl who can't knock me out. I'd say they're looking quite nice, and yeah they look a little small since mine, just approaching the end of week 1 are looking near the same height but they have nice leaves on them and so I'd just say give them a little bit of time to strengthen and build up some foliage, then wack em over the heads with as much light as you have.

hows your humidity? maybe the reason your plants are growing slowly is because of low humidity

I think you are right where you should be with a 2 week old WW. I also agree that you should bury the plants right up to the cotyledon. It will help with keeping the plants stem strong.

thanks for the compliments I thought they were kinda small but they all look really nice. I did find a small burn on one leaf but it was way small and at the very tip so i think it will be just fine. I will defiantly hold off on the nutrients for another two weeks. I will post some updated pics in a few weeks to show their progress.

Last note whats the verdict... raise the humidity up to 70%-80% or keep it in the low 50%'s?

Give them a little more humidity to see if you can get a rise out of them, don't worry if growth doesn't accelarate, as I said before, your plants look good and healthy and that matters far more than how tall they are.

do look small for 2 weeks mate but they look good...raise humidity to 70-80 %
Why increase humidity to 70-80%?? Anything more than 60% and I'm freaking out. Ideally you want 45-55%.. But then again I run co2, but still 70-80% is too high IMO.
You can bury it up to the fan leafs but I recommend waiting till its much larger. Remember when you water you need a couple inches of play otherwise you'll be overflowing over those 5 gal buckets.

I really highly disagree. To each they're own, but I think you'll run into problems at that high of humidity. What does getting a rise out of them mean?
Also next time start the seedlings in smaller pots and transplant once a good root structure to those 5 gallons. Growth will be faster, right now those roots are shooting down the soil, if in a smaller pot you get a nice compact root ball then transplant. In my exp the best way for quicker better results. I'd also grow a mom, starting from seed takes twice as long for them to take off than starting from clone. Something to think about.

if u in veg 70-80 percent is standard and flower 50 and belox is great...

I agree, in veg I run a higher humidity, or at least until they start shooting up. Obviously reduce humidity during flower below 50 if you can.

i got a two week old nirvana white widow and its like 3 times that big, i think you feeding them every other day really slowed the growth, but other than that they look good, practice makes perfect,i would of waited a little bit to put them into them 5 gallon buckets too its easier to take care of in smaller containers
edit:i dont count days till it breaks soil mayby that why mine is bigger but its growing pretty fast

Sterling: they look good healthy, have a nice green hue.. no problem. like a friend of mine on here says "no problem m8". maybe a little small growth for the time, but one has to take into consideration of the environment!

mine looked the same too.....DON'T FORGET...IT SEEMS U GREW FROM SEED, some ppl. use hydro and other techniques. when growing from seed it's always longer then cloning etc.

BUT AS U GET BETTER U WILL FIND OR HAVE UR OWN TECHNIQUE DOWN. just listen and take the advice that these guys are giving u. b/c my plants would have died if not for a lot of good helpful ppl. @ RIU!

check out mine just starting it's 4th week from seed- click here for video =
